Group Leader Training

Weekend Workshop for Leaders and Facilitators of Meditation, Spiritual Development & Self-Awareness Groups

with Marion Young & Gillian Lenane

This event has sadly been postponed until further notice

Gillian and I are very passionate about this course, as learning how to create safe and sacred spaces for people to relax and connect with their inner stillness is becoming increasingly essential. There is so much stress and anxiety in this busy world of ours, and people are hungry for somewhere to feel safe and reassured.

This weekend is a condensed version of our highly successful and fun 7-week courses, and is based on over 40 years of group facilitation experience between us. Together we have an abundance of practical knowledge, insights and tips to share about facilitating groups in a healthy and supportive way.

This a very enjoyable and experiential weekend; Gillian’s actress skills come out to play and we use a variety of exercises to help you experience first-hand how to handle the different energies that show up in group settings. Understanding these group dynamics, as well as understanding your own energy patterns, is a very empowering skill to have, not only when running a groups but in every area of your life.

On this Group Leader Training Course you will learn how to:

  • Feel more confident with groups
  • Manage Group Energy
  • Lead and empower your participants in a safe and supportive way
  • Manage emotions, yours and others
  • Understand the power of language
  • Use the Enneagram for group safety and support
  • Use simple and effective meditation and relaxation techniques
  • Understand the Dark Night of The Soul
  • Create online groups and webinars
  • Market and advertise your groups in a conscious and honouring way

Our focus is on teaching how to facilitate sacred spaces within the framework of stillness and self-enquiry.

From previous course participants…

“This is an incredible and practical weekend – it has given me the confidence to actually do what I’ve been thinking about doing for a long while. As ever Marion and Gillian are generous and knowledgeable.”

Thank you!!!!

“I really enjoyed the group skills workshop and found it engaging and informative. The sessions are run in a dynamic and energetic way and Marion and Gillian have a lovely chemistry that creates a wonderful learning environment. The skills and knowledge I picked up over the two days have really benefited my understanding of group dynamics and have helped me enormously in my own professional meditation journey.”

Sue Kinsey – 2018

“I highly recommend this course for anyone who would like to find the confidence to run groups. Marion and Gillian have many years of experience and somehow manage to distil it into a very informative and experiential weekend. I’m looking forward to running my own groups and feel that I can offer so much more now I have the skills to do so.”

As our world transforms herself into a kinder and more honouring place, there is an element of uncertainty about live events in the near future. I’ve been considering creating an online version of this popular Group Facilitator Skills Training for some time, and so if that is something in which you might be interested, or perhaps you’re not able to join us in Surrey, then please let me know your name and email address and I can keep you up to date of developments.
