Genetic Legacy Healing & Wisdom Workshop
NEW for 2026
Saturday 18th April 2026 – 10am – 4.30pm, and Sunday 19th April 2pm – 5pm
with Marion Young on Zoom
An interactive, experiential and therapeutic workshop for a small group (maximum 6 people) on Zoom, exploring and healing the impact of genetic legacies on our everyday lives.
Genetic Legacy Healing & Wisdom
Research has shown that trauma and emotional challenges can be passed down through families and show up as emotional and physical issues for future generations. Patterns of learnt and inherited behaviour can continue being played out unconsciously until they are brought into the light of awareness.
Genetic Legacy Healing & Wisdom has been an integral part of my personal and professional therapeutic journey for nearly 40 years. Drawing on my decades of experience as a therapist, trainer, course and retreat facilitator, this interactive and experiential workshop on Zoom for a small group, will be a fusion of different healing modalities to help you explore the impact of genetic legacies in your life.
I love working with small groups as our collective intention energises and enhances the healing power of our individual experience.

- Bring more peace, compassion and understanding to yourself and others.
- Reclaim your power as you release resentment and blame.
- Learn practical processes you can repeat on different themes in your own time.
What previous participants have said about Genetic Legacy Healing…
“I loved doing the genetic clearing process with Marion. I found it incredibly revealing and profoundly beneficial. It took me a few days to integrate and I’m sure that process will continue for a good while longer but, I can already feel internal shifts into a greater sense of sovereignty in my life which feels amazing. Thank you! “
“It was one of the most liberating and enlightening process I have ever done and was one of my favourite parts of the residential retreat.”
The ‘Cushion process’
As part of the workshop you will also be using what I call the ‘cushion process’, a fusion of different therapeutic modalities honed by me through years of experience and used in my one-to-one therapy practice and mentoring programmes.
In this powerful process, cushions are placed on the floor to represent ourselves and family members in relation to each other as we work on the genetic patterns. (If space does not allow, stones or smaller objects can be used as an alternative). I will guide you through the process and then offer practical exercises to help dissolve and learn from the issues as they arise, and to help you move forward.
Price
For this introductory workshop there will be a maximum of 6 participants, the price is £295.
(After the workshop, if you feel that you want to take this work further, a one-to-one two hour session can be added for the special price of £200 on Zoom or £270 in person).
My Story
Taken in and brought up by a Quaker family, my mother devoted her life to one of service, peace and reconciliation between all faiths. She was both my role model and also my greatest adversary, as we often collided in the way I wanted to live my life. For many years, I did not realise the depth of undercurrents and patterns that continued to play out in our lives, and how her fear and desperation in trying to keep me safe sent me on a lifelong journey of discovery both personally and professionally.
When we add further generations, we begin to understand that we are not living our lives in isolation but are part of something so much bigger. With awareness and curiosity, we can explore the patterns that are bringing pain and suffering, harvest the gifts and begin to dissolve what no longer serves us. This can create a softening and a lightness, and family relationships have more space for harmony and understanding. We retrieve our power, and take responsibility for what is ours to carry and release the rest.
I can also see how my work and passion for stillness and silence has been forged by my legacy and the values by which my mother lived. I value that stillness cannot ‘belong’ to any one group, and that being in silence meets all of us equally wherever we are and what we believe. I do not identify with any group or doctrine myself, but have a deep respect for all traditions. Most of all, I respect kindness, compassion and an open mind and heart.
Once I understood that I’m on a personal soul journey and part of a much bigger picture, I have been able to find peace in the suffering that I inherited. I also know that this is an ever-evolving journey of learning and self-awareness, for which I am deeply grateful.
